WelcomeWelcome to my website where you can see the progress of my Pilatus PC-9M Flight Simulator cockpit.
About the projectThe project started on 05 October 2006 after a long process of watching other builders enjoying building their cockpits. Cockpit building is a very challenging and interesting hobby and I just had to be part it.
Why the Pilatus PC-9MThe Pilatus PC-9M was chosen mainly because I love the aeroplane and I am a big fan of a beautiful country, Switzerland, which I have been privileged to visit in 1999. Riding the worlds steepest rail up Mount Pilatus was my highlight of the tour. Little did I know that the Pilatus factory was right in front of me while we were waiting for the train to take us up.
The hobby mainly has 5 factors which one need to consider before building a cockpit:
The first 2 points are my biggest constraints and that's another reason for building a PC-9M cockpit instead of an airliner. My next simulator will definitely be a Boeing 777-200LRF.
About the Pilatus PC-9MThe Pilatus PC-9M is a single-engine, low-wing tandem-seat turboprop training aircraft manufactured by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland. This version of the Pilatus PC-9 was introduced in 1997 as the new standard model.
The PC-9M performs as follows under international standard atmospheric (ISA) conditions:
